Spring 1883 is a hotel-based art fair that celebrates the richness and diversity of contemporary art practice in Australia and New Zealand by breaking away from the traditional art fair model and offering an engaging and immersive setting for people to discover new art in one place – The Hotel Windsor in Melbourne from 9 to 12 August 2023.
Spring 1883 features twenty-nine participating galleries, including Arts Project Australia, CHALK HORSE, The Egg & Dart, Gallery 9, Lennox St. Gallery, LON Gallery, MARS Gallery, NAP Contemporary, Neon Parc, Niagara Galleries, Nicholas Thompson Gallery, Olsen Gallery, and THIS IS NO FANTASY; each designated a room or suite within the hotel. This innovative layout transforms the hotel into an art-filled labyrinth, creating an intimate and interactive experience for visitors as they explore the various art on view.
