After a 2023 haemorrhagic stroke and her specialists believing her chances of survival next to none, New South Wales-based landscape artist Suey McEnnally shouldn’t be having this exhibition – she should be dead.
Exploring the artist’s remarkable recovery and her fire-blazing life spirit, with a profound connection to the natural world, as spring bloomed all around in her mountain garden, so too did she; coming back from the brink in a thrust of colour and light – the artist chases beauty down to its lair and demands to be seen.
