Suzi Lyon: Into Blue

A cool change for audiences in Alice with a message served cold. Suzi Lyon presents photo, video and recordings of icebergs melting and glacial retreat to underscore the vulnerability of the environment as climate patterns shift in the Arctic’s mountainous Svalbard Archipelago. This body of work is the fruit of a few trips to the Arctic as well as an expeditionary artist residency. Being staged in the central desert the exhibition prompts us to consider the impact of physical and psychological distance from a pressing
global concern.
