Art Almanac is thrilled to announce that we will be returning to Sydney Contemporary as a media partner for 2023.
Sydney Contemporary is Australasia’s largest and most diverse gathering of contemporary art galleries in the region. The seventh edition, held in partnership with MA Financial Group, will be held at Carriageworks, Australia’s largest multi-arts centre from 7 to 10 September 2023.

Sydney Contemporary Founder and Co-Owner Tim Etchells said: “Sydney Contemporary has been firmly established as the most influential art fair in the region, providing the most concentrated week of art sales annually in Australia. The distinctive setting of Carriageworks in the stunning destination of Sydney makes for an incredible week of art and we look forward to welcoming collectors and art lovers from across the region to enjoy our strongest program to date. With an expanded footprint of galleries, programming, and supporting events, this edition will be a Fair not to be missed.”
This year’s Fair will showcase the work of over 500 emerging and established contemporary artists, with galleries showcasing showcase the best of Australian, Indigenous, and international art, and are a significant drawcard for high-profile collectors and visitors in the region. The presentations will feature artists from over thirty-five countries worldwide, including Australia, China, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
