‘Sydney East Art Walk’ is a community initiative of 19 prominent art galleries, art project spaces and the National Art School in the East Sydney, Darlinghurst and Kings Cross area. This Saturday June 6 it offers art lovers and those a-like a great one-afternoon of art, drinks and food and friendly camaraderie as selected galleries showcase a range of visual artists and their works.
At the participating galleries you will receive a comprehensive Art Walk map with the full list of the participating galleries. You can then take any route in any order to visit (or re-visit) these galleries, sipping free wine and enjoying some nibbles provided by the generous gallery staff.
SEAW Art Talks will also be available. Three 30 minute-long Artist Talks will be held at three galleries within walking distance of one another. Visitors have time to look at the exhibitions and then make their way to the next venue. You are welcome to join these talks. You will find them specially marked in the gallery listing.
