The Feminine Optic: Perspective on the Landscape

What do female painters bring to landscape painting? This is the central question that’s explored in ‘The Feminine Optic: Perspectives on the Landscape’, an exhibition featuring the work of artists Gabrielle Collins, Michelle Hungerford, Joanna Logue, Charmaine Pike and Amber Wallis. Their work represents a range of approaches to what is one of the oldest genres of Western painting as they explore the Australian landscape, its colours, shapes and forms, as well as internal landscapes of the imagination.
