The Huxleys are colourful, excessive, and loud. This creative duo present camp commentary and extravaganza across the art, performance, and fashion worlds categorised by photography, film, costume, and chaos. Described as a visual assault of sparkle, surrealism and the absurd, The Huxleys saturate their practice and projects with a glamorous, androgynous freedom which sets out to bring some escapism and disco-infused magic to everyday life.
Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams, the first collective survey of their work in Australia, invites us to journey through ten years of luminescent landscapes, thought-provoking scenarios, and relatable narratives and subtext; to surrender ourselves to a queer wonderland where too much is never enough.
