In Mosman Art Gallery’s dedicated video and experimental art space Tianli Zu shares animations and hand-cut works that address transcendence and the duality of existence. Drawing upon her Chinese heritage, its cultural traditions, as well as her early life in China and experiences as a woman her work is both performative and cathartic. ‘A Conversation with SHADOWS’ is accompanied by a short documentary on Zu’s artistic processes by film-maker Maximilian Homaei.
