‘Collage seems a way to reflect the way experience feels’ – Tom Alberts.
Fusing landscape, still life and portraiture in oil for this new body of work, Tom Alberts continues to explore his process of ‘observational collage’. Painting in sections, covering and obscuring them from memory then working on new areas of the canvas, and in the final stage unveiling the entire work, Alberts’ narratives unfold – inspired by life, his surroundings and experiences in the world.
