‘Landscape with Rock’ is an exhibition of prints and drawings by Tony Ameneiro, inspired by artist Fred William’s explorations of the Nattai Valley in the Southern Highlands in the late 1950s, a journey that ignited William’s love for the Australian bush. And now, more than six decades later, Ameneiro has created a body of work responding to that same special place, using the immediacy of monotype printing as was William’s own approach. Amaneiro’s drawing practice involves etching, monotype relief, and lithography.
