Exploring unusual and unconventional uses of the medium in contemporary Australian art, the exhibition features 27 works by 11 artists: Glenn Barkley, Stephen Bird, Chris Dolman, Lynda Draper, Donna Green, Emily Hunt, Philjames, Jenny Orchard, Stephen Ralph, Sarah Smuts-Kennedy, and Vipoo Srivilasa. Their works are bound by uniform oddness, redefining and reinventing the genre and introducing the offbeat.
Curator Simon Gregg says, “We somehow feel emboldened in their presence, rejuvenated by their dignified imperfection, and reassured that it’s ok to be not-quite right.”
