The Melbourne Art Foundation is pleased to announce the 2014 recipients of the Melbourne Art Foundation Awards for the Visual Arts.
Two awards will be handed to two Australian artists. The first, The Artist Award which recognizes the outstanding achievement of an Australian Artist, through a comprehensive body of work. The second is The Visionary Award which recognizes the outstanding contribution made by Australians who have developed and demonstrated an unwavering commitment to progressing the status of contemporary Australian art nationally and beyond.
The winners of these two prestigious awards have been announced; The Artist Award has been attributed to Patricia Piccinini and The Visionary Award goes to Joan and Peter Clemenger AM.
Tickets are currently available for the award night and will be held at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art. The Board of the Melbourne Art Foundation invites you to celebrate the Melbourne Art Foundation Awards for the Visual Arts. Juliana Engberg, Artistic Director, ACCA will be the speaker for the night.
