Celebrating the diversity and creativity of 60,000 years of Aboriginal culture, the city of Melbourne is hosting 60 events including dance, music, visual art, theatre, film and talks in public spaces and venues from 5 to 14 May bringing local and international First Nation visionaries from New Zealand, Canada, United States of America, Scotland, Pacific Islands, Wales and Taiwan together. Events include a citywide treasure hunt, ‘Barring Yanabul (We All Walk the Path)’ – live performance, installation, games, craft and experiments in streets, laneways and rooftops on Saturday 13 May. From 5 to 14 May Arts Centre Melbourne presents concerts and an exhibition in memory of singer, song-writer Aunty Ruby Hunter. May 6 to 14 ‘The Dirty Dingo’ exhibition takes over the The Dirty Dozen windows in the Campbell arcade Subway entrance to Flinders Station with poster images of dingos drawn in texta.
