Curated by Dr Thomas Middlemost, Redux brings together works by two Adelaide-based printmakers, Dianne Longley and Olga Sankey. The exhibition examines each artist’s decades-long practice, exploring connections between past and present artmaking as well as similarities between the two. Both artists experiment with technically challenging and influential digital and more traditional print media, incorporating text and historical references.
Longley’s intricate design and complex conceptual or narrative framework draws together cultural histories and a range of artistic techniques. Sankey works digitally to combine textual fragments with original and appropriated imagery.
