Janet Luxton’s paintings highlight the intricate beauty and unique characters of the natural world. They demonstrate Luxton’s advocacy of animal rights and her belief in showing these creatures greater respect. ‘My paintings are an attempt to portray the beautiful diversity and individuality of the animals and birds caught up in these turbulent times… I hope my efforts might encourage others to think likewise,’ says the artist. Luxton paints during the exhibition, providing viewers with an opportunity to witness her process as it unfolds.
