Catalyst: The Katherine Hannay Visual Arts Commission is a new arts initiative aimed at supporting Australian not-for-profit organizations who are endorsed item 1 deductible gift recipients, and can demonstrate a track record of working with Australia contemporary artists.
The one-off visual arts commission, which will fund four $80 000 commissions, encourages eligible not-for-profit organizations to partner with an Australian visual artist, collective or collaborations to apply. $40 000 will be paid to these organizations as a project management fee, with $40 000 made to the artist.
On the judging panel for the commission are Sophie Gannon, Naomi Milgrom, Callum Morton, Nicholas Baume, Natalie King and Jeff Khan.
