‘It was impossible not to be affected by the drought and the bush fires and now the pandemic which has stopped everything in its tracks. With some of these pictures I have tried to pose a question, with others, it is simply a response to my small world in the peace and solitude of my own microcosm. Within a time of uncertainty, my hope is that these works might communicate some stillness and hope and an appreciation for the everyday.’ – Kim Shannon
