Melbourne-born artist Jo Darvall pays homage to the beauty of the West Australian Wandoo Forest at Mount Observation in her exhibition entitled ‘Wandoo.’ A series of new oil and watercolour paintings, inspired by the ‘stunning silky white bark, red leaking sap and gnarly form’ of the Eucalyptus wandoo, a hardwood tree, growing tall across the expanse of the Wheatbelt region, illuminate the distinct colours and forms of these woodlands in soft shades of amber, blue-grey and olive green.
