Sculpture at Bathers is a distinctively Western Australian outdoor exhibition staging over sixty works by by more than seventy contemporary artists at Bathers Beach in Fremantle and Fremantle Port, Western Australia, from 19 February to 7 March 2022.
Since 2013, this major free-to-the-public exhibition has enlivened Perth’s cultural landscape, showcasing the work of over 150 Western Australian artists and, in turn, attracting a vast number of art lovers and onlookers to the area. For 2022, Sculpture at Bathers has partnered with local organisations, including the City of Fremantle, Fremantle Ports, the Town of East Fremantle, Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour Trader’s Association, City of Melville, DADAA, Artsource, and the Western Australian Museum to reach a wider audience and deliver S@B5.
This event marks an expansion for Sculpture at Bathers, which will see works spread along Bathers Beach, inside the gallery at Kidogo Arthouse, and on the forecourt at WA Shipwrecks Museum. In addition, a new initiative of five works by local artists will be displayed at Fremantle Ports.
