Adrienne Richards: The Way We Live Now

Exploring the concept of ‘Bio History’ – the study of humanity, past and present, against the backdrop of life on Earth, Adrienne Richards’ hand-built ceramic forms, drawings, surface decoration, and glazing techniques highlight environmental issues, our place on Earth, and question the “way we live now.”

Inspired by the ideas of Professor Stephen Boyden, author of The Bionarrative – the story of life and hope for the future, Richards presents a reimagined archaeological dig where fragments and shards of humans’ material culture juxtapose the nature of our planet.
