Brent Lukey: Trying to act casual

Brent Lukey presents a photographic series of twelve large prints and an installation. The work explores our public persona within the urban environment that surrounds us, particularly the “street” as a transitional space, a public space of movement, and guarded interaction. The paths we take, the way we move, the clothing we wear, the eye contact we make, and the facades we pass in this ordered yet random habitat – the street is a place where humans are the softest, most fluid part of the landscape.
