Bridget Currie: each one a world

Bridget Currie’s poetic and allusive works respond to Carrick Hill’s house and garden in a range of media – from an immersive wallpapered room, printmaking and recordings, to sound recordings embedded in sculpture.

The exhibition explores Currie’s interest in bringing the invisible, internal aspects of experience, such as thoughts, emotions, states of being and dreams, into the external physical world. Taking as their departure the physical reality and metaphorical potential of grass, Currie’s works group and extend many of the themes that have preoccupied her over the past decade.
