Bruce Munro: Tropical Light

Rediscover Darwin’s local and cultural history in ‘Tropical Light’, a sequence of large-scale light installations by Bruce Munro, set on a 2.5km audio-aided trail that meanders through the city. Alongside art from local artists, Munro presents new and existing works from a field of Hill’s hoists with illuminated pegs representing Australian birds and 700 vertical fishing rods replicating the state’s floral emblem flashing Morse code, to recreating the rare ‘green flash’ phenomenon during sundown with 1,000 LED-lit bottles.
