Lou Chamberlin has been capturing Melbourne’s street art scene through the lens since 2005. This fourth publication from the photographer focuses on vibrant spray painted murals, stencil art and paste ups which adorn the laneways and streetscapes of the city with works created on reusable canvas backdrops of corrugated roller doors, brick walls, footpaths, drains and traffic signal boxes. The ephemeral nature of this contemporary urban art form begs for preservation through print and digital media; in the book Chamberlin includes artist details and their Instagram tags.
