Cherine Fahd: A Portrait is a Puzzle

The portraiture of Sydney artist Cherine Fahd questions the validity of first impressions and stereotypes. ‘A Portrait is a Puzzle’ presents photographs exploring issues of facial grooming in the context of current global events. Morphing her own features with portraits of men who sport beards as a lifestyle choice – not as a religious, cultural or political comment – the artist challenges assumptions about identity. During the exhibition, Fahd will be developing a new work in the ACP Project Space Gallery.
