Clay: Collected Ceramics showcases a collection of contemporary ceramics that elevate the earthen art form and cement its place in shaping the stories of Brisbane over the past sixty years; from 1970s functional wares to conceptual creations by iconoclastic makers of today, this exhibition will speak of the meaningful processes of making and collecting.
Featuring over 300 artworks by local artists that highlight the shape-shifting relationship between the potter and their product, collection pieces, newly commissioned pieces, and the community-based feature Commune comprised of around 300 memory vessels.
