Counterpoint features the work of three Australian artists – Jude Rae, Ruth Waller, and Toni Warburton. Having grown up within a few kilometres of each other on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Rae, Waller, and Warburton share early experiences of place that continue to inform their distinct yet interconnected practices.
Spanning paintings and ceramics, Rae (winner of the 2025 Wynne Prize) presents still life paintings distilling complexities of everyday experience; Waller presents paintings exploring the poetics of shape and space; and Warburton’s ceramics draw from architectural, botanical, and geological structures.
