‘East Sydney Art Walk’ is an initiative of twenty prominent art galleries and art project spaces inviting art lovers to experience one afternoon immersed in inspiration and originality.
Twenty galleries in total will open their doors between 12 and 4 pm on Saturday 27 September, 2014.
At the participating galleries you will receive a comprehensive Art Walk map with a list of the participating galleries. You can then take any route in any order to visit (or re-visit) galleries and can sip a free wine and enjoy the odd nibbles provided by the generous participating galleries.
Artist talks will be held at four galleries within walking distance of one another. – Firstdraft, Gallery 9, Stills Gallery and Watters Gallery. Visitors have plenty of time to look at the exhibitions and then make their way to the next venue.
Participating galleries include: Alaska Projects, Backstage, Black Eye Gallery, Breezeblock, Chalk Horse, Conny Dietzschold Gallery, The Cross Art Projects, Dominik Mersch Gallery, The Drawing Room, Firstdraft, Gallery 9, King Street Gallery, National Art School – NAS Gallery, Robin Gibson Gallery, Soho Galleries, Stanly Street Gallery, Stills Gallery, Watters Gallery and Yuill Crowley.
There is something for everyone as each of the participating galleries present a diverse range of exhibitions.
