Emma Walker: Finding Form

The human condition often means we question the decisions we take on a daily basis. The works in ‘Finding Form’ attempt to explore the self awareness of the decisions and the internal mechanisms of our mind.

Deeply personal, “these paintings are cerebral self portraits or snap shots of my mind in action. They are about thought processes, decision making, questioning, remembering, day dreaming, freedom, boundaries and the linkage of ideas and sensation”, Walker explains. “The language of abstraction and the use of geometric pattern alongside organic forms have helped me to visually depict these somewhat nebulous processes of the mind”.
