Empty Gesture is the end result of a two week residency by Sarah Rodigari at Alaska Projects. During this time she invited artists Paul Gazzola, Agatha Gothe-Snape, Madeleine Hodge, Joshua Sofaer, and Malcolm Whittaker, to each collaborate with her over a 48 hour period. Together they investigate the interplay between artists and the public, and the ever increasing call to participate in current trends of contemporary art. The end result is a witty, thought-provoking exhibition that sits perfectly in the somewhat unusual gallery space in the basement of a Kings Cross car-park.
