A Line Going for a Walk: Artworks from The JADA Collection

A Line Going for a Walk features previous winners’ works and acquisitions of Grafton Regional Gallery’s flagship exhibition, the Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award (JADA).

Gaining inspiration from Paul Klee’s famous quote, “A line is a dot that went for a walk,” the artists in this exhibition have used drawing to generate and communicate their ideas to others, demonstrate their curiosity about the world, and as an intellectually driven symbol to express their thoughts. Their approaches to the medium span the technical and traditional to the experimental, conceptual and performative.
