Past and new works are on show by Eugene Choi, Kalanjay Dhir, Nina Dodd, and Dylan Batty who has also curated the presentation. Many of the pieces use industrial materials or pay homage to the ‘mortality’, or fallibility of tools and objects we covet. ‘Flatpack’ appropriates the imperative design ideology of the ‘flat pack’, an aesthetic typified by IKEA, that promises a democratic assemblage and most importantly an ease of production and mass-dispersion. Tributary Projects is a new artist-run gallery and studio space in Fyschwick.
