Artists, writers and entertainers converge in the City of Glen Eira for the ninth edition of the ‘Glen Eira Storytelling Festival’ from 22 June to 7 July 2019. Fascinating narrations of the past and present will be seen and heard with exhibitions, screenings, comedy, theatre, writing workshops, panel discussions, artist talks and more. Events include ‘Talking Indigenous Digital Storytelling’ at Glen Eira City Council Gallery on 22 June, where an exhibition of contemporary Indigenous artists works are also on view. ‘Writers Victoria’ is set to present a series of Author readings at Glen Eira Town Hall on 26 June, and on 3 July ‘Open Mic’ at The Royal Bar in Glen Huntley invites poets, playwrights, singers, comedians, performers and other storytellers to take the stage.
