Home of the Boyds: Harkaway and The Grange

Produced for the exhibition ‘Home of the Boyds: Harkaway and The Grange’, shown at Bunjil Place Gallery from May to July this year, this publication presents a historical narration of three generations of the Boyd and à Beckett family of artists. It explores the significance of ‘The Grange’, at Harkaway, near Narre Warren south of Melbourne, the property where artistic traditions flourished, inspired by the vast landscape, farmlands, fauna and flora of the region. Authored by Georgia Cribb, Rodney James and David Wise, with colour images throughout, this book shares a brief yet informative look into the lives of renowned artists including Arthur Boyd, Merric Boyd and Minnie Boyd, along with other Boyd and à Beckett family members.
