Ian & Erick Regnard: Floating Bits

International Photographers of the Year 2010, Ian and Erick Regnard present a series of underwater photographs in the exhibition Floating Bits.

Shot on Polaroid 4 × 5 large format film, these works go beneath the surface of the crystal-clear waters of Niue, a Pacific Island east of Tonga, imagining the need to be alone, but knowing there is another presence close by.

The adapted camera used to create the images will also be displayed, along with a video explaining how the photographs were captured. Also on view are images from the brothers’ A Thousand Kisses Deep series picturing a different female figure in a dance with stingrays off Tahiti.
