Created as part of the ‘Blindside Sound Series’ 2021 and curated by Liquid Architecture, ‘Emotions’ is an experimental song-poem performed by artist and writer Jennifer Hickinbotham. With multiple voices, perspectives and temporalities, Hickinbotham presents an expansive exploration and narration of ancestral familial ties, the epigenetic impacts of trauma, and the trials of individuals swept up by the forces of history, institutions, and the places where they live.
