Michaye Boulter: What Stays Within

Michaye Boulter presents a series of beautiful atmospheric paintings, which evoke ethereal imaginings of Tasmanian sea and landscape vistas, and the skies. ‘Painting place is a way of seeing self. And painting is a conduit between the internal and the external. And landscape is what the painting hinges on. It’s all indirect, a way of angling myself to the side of what I want to say, which is kind of intangible and about the intensity of feeling or reflection,’ the artist explains.
