America-born, Tasmania-based photographic and video artist David Stephenson has been tracing the daily passage of the Tasmanian sun over the past few years.
Its seasonal movement along the horizon, as it arcs across the sky and etches its image onto the artist’s film – in exposures ranging from seconds to many hours. Known for capturing the terrifying and vast beauty of natural and industrial landscapes, Sun Drawings presents larger digital inkjet prints of recent projects alongside a return to analogue silver prints.
