This body of work by Thurrural Thirroul-based artist Lynda Draper was developed through a 2024 residency at the gallery.
Bringing together bronze, ceramics, and glass through collaborations with skilled artisans – including the gallery team and Nick Stanks of Carwoola Casting – and reconnecting with formal languages that shaped the artist’s practice during the 1980s and ’90s, the sculptures reveal a restrained palette; surfaces that evoke confectionery, icing, and wax, with recurring biomorphic and funnel-like forms that suggest growth, transformation, and vitality.
