Jo Scicluna: Where The Land Lies

‘Where the Land Lies’ is a conversation between artist Jo Scicluna and the Gunaikurnai people of Gippsland. With guidance from Dr Doris Paton, an educator within the Gunaikurnai community, Scicluna was invited to visit and document sites along the Bataluk Cultural Trail where the Gunaikurnai people walked for over 30,000 years. Through her experience, Scicluna gained understanding and a personal connection with the land. She responds with a series of works incorporating collage, cut Perspex and black and white images.
