Practicing for over sixty years, multidisciplinary artist Ken Unsworth often deals with themes of autobiography, human emotion, and transformation.
With a practice that spans a range of mediums, he is best known for sculptural installations that engage with balance and suspension – often exploring the capabilities and strength of materials. His diverse works are regarded as conceptually and formally ambitious and he is also known for a poetic tenor and deep awareness of death and life. Including paintings, sculptures, and an installation, this exhibition brings together works held in the QAGOMA Collection.
