Lillian O’Neil

Lillian O’Neil produces grand works made from printed materials; pre-digital books and magazines. Through a labour-intensive process of collection, selection and arrangement of images the artist creates detailed compositions that convey themes of humour and tragedy, ecstasy and melancholy, lust and biology, and engagement and alienation.

“I am interested in the role that memory and personal association plays with found images and how these images and these disparate combinations of images might stand in for the emotional states of my experience,” shared O’Neil.
