‘Michelangelo: The Exhibition’ demonstrates why his paintings and sculptures are ranked amongst the most famous creations in western history.
Delving into Michelangelo’s areas of practice, the exhibition features several full-scale replicas of sculptures, made from the casts of Michelangelo’s original statues including a one-to-one replica of the statue of David, exclusive to Burnie visitors only. The exhibition also includes re-created details of some of his most famous frescoes from the Sistine Chapel.
The international touring exhibition has been produced by the acclaimed Artisans of Florence: International, in collaboration with The Niccolai Group and Muri Dell’Arte (Italy), and the Fondazione Casa Buonarroti – the Michelangelo museum in Florence.
