‘The Memory Within’ explores the emotional associations we hold for everyday objects, the ones that occupy our homes and intimate spaces that are linked to domestic ritual and the memories they evoke. With a survey of trinkets, ornaments and other household things, artist Naomi Taylor Royds considers the importance of the familiar, contemplating the idea that perhaps it is only through personal connection and memory that we find the true value in the ordinary.
