“My work is landscape based with shelter as an ongoing subject. I live on the north east coast of Tasmania where I am surrounded by farm buildings, coastal landscapes, open sky and weather. These landscapes can often operate like dioramas where shapes and structures are staged and positioned capturing moments in time. I like to see and feel forms in their elemental nature, somehow dropping the noise. Painting is very much a process of construction and deconstruction; a faculty to rethink and revisit relationship to place.” – Neridah Stockley, 2023
