On Earth

Curated by Sarah Werkmeister, ‘On Earth’ brings contemporary and historical artworks together, which consider climate change and the role that art and culture play in creating awareness of the landscape and the environment. Themes focusing on the representation of the land, the exploitation of nature, and human experience – both cognitive and physical, position art as a powerful motivator for shaping our understanding of the natural world.

Artists include Robert Andrew, Ray Beattie, Ian Burn, Michael Cook, Dean Cross, Nici Cumpston, Bonita Ely, Emma Fielden, Greg Forsyth, Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori, Kinly Grey, Dale Harding, Isaac Walter Jenner, Jillian Namatjira, Claude Pannka, Toni Robertson, Joe Rootsey, Kate Shaw, Sancintya Mohini Simpson, Yasmin Smith, Warraba Weatherall, Keemon Williams, Women’s Domestic Needlework Group and two historical works by artists once known.
