OpenField Arts Festival

OpenField is a new multidisciplinary arts festival held across a range of non-traditional art spaces, such as community spaces, halls, and natural reserves in Berry, New South Wales, making its debut from 22 to 25 June.

The works of twenty-two contemporary artists, including photographer Tamara Dean, ceramicist Glenn Barkley, installation duo Claire Healy and Sean Cordeiro, video artists Soda Jerk, and dancer/ choreographer Emma Saunders, respond to the curatorial theme of ‘Intersections + Interplay’.

Alongside video projections, moving image and sound art, a LEGO installation, tar works, textiles, weaving and crotchet, neon poles, sculptural poems, a 1,000 small ceramic topiary, and an immersive Fluffy performance and dance “encounters,” a range of workshops and talks (including a First Nations panel and yarn) are scheduled throughout the day, and music, performance, and food markets at night.
