‘Get Arted’ is the first solo presentation of Pat Larter’s oeuvre by a public institution and is drawn primarily from the Art Gallery of New South Wales’s National Art Archive. Co-curated by Lisa Catt and Claire Eggleston, the exhibition celebrates the performance art, film, mail art and painting of Larter who challenged conventions of female representation in a uniquely collaborative, humourous and provocative way; a transgressive practice which remains relevant today as we continue to think about progressing ideas of gender, the body and class.
