Celebrating the pilgrimage of New South Wales artists – Walcha-based painter Paula Jenkins and Tamworth-based ceramicist Sasha Jury Radford –, in Nirvana, two creative disciplines intertwine to create a visual narrative of landscape – halting time and revealing the significance of place and presence.
Jenkins presents thirty-two paintings and a poem, drawing inspiration from her time hiking through the alpine environments of New Zealand’s South Island during winter last year, while Radford’s ceramic sculptures, suspended works and totems are inspired by walking the Camino de Compostela in northwestern Spain.
