‘Lux’ is an exhibition of interior and landscape paintings inspired by Peter Boggs’ recent travels through Europe. The works are informed by ‘reflected light in passageways and museums as well as unknown interior settings, windows and doors with views to distant rooms and universal distant landscapes beyond,’ says the artist. Structural and geometric compositions are drawn into focus through a synergy of subdued colour, soft tones, light and shadow, creating luminous dream-like ambiences reminiscent of memory and sense of place.
